The provisions of the national alliance help solve the problem of rising health care costs and the need to find solutions that keep Kaiser Permanente`s health services both quality and affordable. The agreement provides for the support of thousands of autonomous (or „unit-based“) frontline teams led jointly by executives and collaborators represented by the Alliance. These unit-based teams are a hallmark of the laboratory management partnership. They actively involve staff in decision-making, which leads to documented improvements in clinical quality, patient safety, affordability and member satisfaction. In addition, the agreement recognizes the changing nature of roles in the healthcare sector by adhering to career development rules that allow the organization to attract top talent while helping current employees grow in their roles to meet the needs of Kaiser`s permanent members and patients when the market changes. „We are proud of this premier agreement with as many unique features as the obligation to recycle and retrain workers ousted by technological change,“ said Kathleen Theobald, Chair of the Alliance Board of Directors, Executive Director of the Kaiser Permanente Nurse Anesthetists Association. „It`s a classic win-win situation that has been working for 20 years of partnership. Through the partnership, we have put into practice the knowledge and ideas of the workers, the permanent members of the emperor receive the best guidance everywhere, and union members have great jobs. The agreement confirms the commitment of both parties to successfully cooperate to achieve the vision of the renewed 2018 Labour Management Partnership Agreement, signed in May by the Alliance and Kaiser Permanente. The new partnership agreement builds on the original obtained in 1997, while strengthening the provisions that allow the Permanent Emperor and the Alliance to succeed together. This national alliance, the first between Kaiser Permanente and the new Alliance of Health Care Unions, sets state-of-the-art standards for quality, service, accessibility, occupational health and safety, and professional development. Die Alliance of Health Care Unions umfasst Einheimische von AFSCME, UFCW, USW (Stahlarbeiter), IBT (Teamsters), die Kaiser Permanente Registered Nurse Anesthetists, IUOE, OFNHP, ILWU und UNITE HERE.
